Rouvalis Flowers is settled into the picturesque neighborhood of Beacon Hill in Boston. One of the things the people visiting the area during the spring and summer always comment on are the luscious window boxes and planters of these historic brownstones. We thought it would be nice to give a shout out to the Spanish city of Cordoba, who clearly has an unparalleled planter game.
During the month of May, residents of this beautiful city all try to out-do each other for the Fiesta de los Patios. Vibrant blossoms in terracotta pots hang against bright white buildings creating what really must be described as a magical fairy tale backdrop..
There is also the Calleja de las Flores. This flower alley is lined with blue hanging flower pots and features a perfectly framed view of the Mezquita Cathedral in the background and opens up to a lovely plaza with shops and cafes. I don’t know about you, but this just made it to my bucket list. Time to start thinking about my next vacation…
