Daffodils arrive for the Boston Marathon.
The flowers come in at Quinlan Wasserman Flower Market on Albany Street. Then, volunteers distribute the pots of flowers along the marathon route in parks restaurants, stores and green spaces.
The first daffodils were planted six years ago. Daffodils bloom every year, and these daffodils winter at Olsen’s Greenhouses in Raynham.
Crushing on Tweedia 4/8
CommentWe love using Tweedia in our Spring and Early summer collections. Tweedia are prized for their diminutive, five-petaled star-shaped blooms, which range from intense glacier blue to bright sky blue to clear pale blue — colors not often found in commercially grown cut flowers. Its currently in our collection up on the web right now in a beautiful arrangement Borrowed & Blue pictured below.
A dreamy collection of soft and fragrant blue hyacinth, muscari, hydrangea and tweedia.

Spring Gardens Have Started!
CommentOur Garden Design Crew is out there transforming the barren landscape with new life! Our staff of trained professionals will create a Seasonal rotation of plant material for the garden container. We focus on container gardening and Maintenance, offering four season rotations.
Seasonal Maintenance is in effect from April through December. This means all of our plantings will be serviced multiple times every week by our trained and professional crew, watered as needed and kept clean, pruned and healthy. Weekly care by our own experienced crew is of course recommended to maintain aesthetic consistency and over-all plant health. At each site service visit our crew assesses all plant scape areas on your property. Maintenance practices include watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, property clean up and disease/ weed control. We take pride in an orderly work environment while maintaining your property; all areas will be thoroughly cleaned before leaving the property.
Crushing on Hyacinth week of 4/1
CommentOne of the most common Spring flower is Hyacinth. It’s a true bulb with narrow leaves and a compact spike of bell-shaped waxy flowers. They mostly appear in blue, violet, pink, cream or white and have a sweet fragrance. The latter is often the reason why these flowers are an all-time favorite – not even taking their lovely appearance into account.
