Corporate Flowers

Sean MurphyComment

This week, our corporate clients got a fresh, clean look - white vases with primarily pink and green flowers. This bold and clean combination is great for lobbies and reception areas, since it is eye-catching without being overbearing. Some of the florals used include nerine lilies, calla lilies, hydrangea, bear grass, and coral celosia.

Summertime Arrangement

Sean MurphyComment

Our designers love all the colors of the summer season, so bright and cheerful! This arrangement was a custom vase arrangement for a customer, who came in the shop and picked out his color palette with one of our designers. We think it came out beautifully, and the customer did too! The addition of the bronze vase really brings the whole arrangement together. Some of the flowers used include bullit allium, pin cushion protea, Pink Floyd roses, dahlias, thistle, and green trick dianthus, with silver dollar eucalyptus as an accent.

Succulent Gardens

Sean MurphyComment

Succulents are definitely the plant of the summer! Drought resistant and sunshine loving, they are perfect for patio season. We've planted some up in our favorite containers for this season. We used a combination of jade plants, pilea, and echeveria, together with textural elements such as pieces of cork and smooth stones.

Plant Pick: Miltonia Orchid

Sean MurphyComment

The most typical orchid that you'll find in our shop and many others is specifically a phalaeonopsis orchid. These are beautiful blossoms that come in a variety of colors, and sizes, so they are always a great gift option! However, sometimes we stock other types of orchids for a little variety and to add a little something special to our display.

We have these beautiful miltonia orchids in stock currently, and love them! Similar care as a phalaenopsis orchid, but these blossoms are a bit smaller and their leaves are much more lush than a traditional orchid. What do you think of them?

Textural & Vibrant

Sean MurphyComment

Recently, a customer came in and requested a bouquet for his girlfriend, and told us to make it as bold and vibrant as possible. Our designer came up with this hand-tied bouquet, and we think she nailed it! It went out for delivery this afternoon, we can't wait to hear how it was received!

Florals used include eremurus, pin cushion protea, allium, roses, hypericum berries, seedum, stock, thistle, and hydrangea.

Funky Florals

One of our summer favorites is this kangaroo paw! It comes in a variety of colors like red, orange, yellow, and even a very dark purple. We love to use it in our seasonal vase arrangements and hand-tied bouquets. It adds an interesting textural element, and this green color is a perfect summery shade.

Get Well Soon

Sean MurphyComment

We had a client come in today, looking for a "show-stopping" flower arrangement, with vibrant purples and pinks for a friend who had just had surgery. Our designer came up with the following arrangement, with allium, hanging amaranthus, hydrangea, celosia, vanda orchids, hot pink roses, and umbrella fern. Hopefully this arrangement will help the recipient to get well soon!

Flower Comb Tutorial

Recently, we got a request from a client for a flower comb. These are small hairpieces best worn in pulled-back hairstyles, so the comb can be tucked into place. Perfect as an accent piece, or main focal point in any outfit! Below you'll find step-by-step instructions on how we created it.

Tuscan Inspired Arrangement

Sean MurphyComment

One of our designers was feeling inspired by the Tuscan countryside, and made up this arrangement for one of our clients. The use of mokara orchids, rosemary, kiwi branches, and hypericum berries creates a very sunny feel. The use of herbs in arrangements over the summer is one of our favorite parts of the season!
